“A timely topic in this age of thinking green. Children still need to be educated about recycling, reducing, and reusing.  The children really enjoyed this lively, entertaining musical presentation.”

Debbie Orzechowski

President of the New Jersey Science Teacher Association (2003-04)

“It was wonderful, musical, theatrical and interactiv!  The children were actively engaged and loved it.”

Amy Armstrong

Montclair Schools, NJ, Watchung School

“You are masters at getting and keeping the attention of children, and what really impressed me was how much actual educating you manage to accomplish is such a short amount of time.  As a former teacher, I’ve seen over 20 years worth of cultural arts presentations , and this was my favorite.”

Sharon Vocke

The best defense against pollution is Education, and Mad Agnes believes education should be Fun!  Through humor, songs and Power Point presentation, Margo, Adrienne and Mark teach children in grades K-5 to reduce, reuse, and recycle.  Student volunteers get hands-on training identifying and separating recyclables, while "Fascinating Facts" teach them about over-consumption of plastic, pollution of the oceans, and the fabulous cockroach (who might inherit the earth if we don't take care of her ourselves).

Statistics about garbage in our landfills are represented in 5-ton elephants:  "How many elephants' worth of plastic bags does Washington State throw out each year?"  (54,000!)  Local recycling centers are contacted ahead of time so the band's tips are town-specific.  The trio talks about using cloth bags for shopping, and why composting is such a good way to run a garden.

PRICING: The program is designed for classrooms or small assemblies of up to 200 students each, and Mad Agnes can offer up to three 45 minute presentations in one day at a school.

Range of Rates: $900 - $1200 per individual school depending on travel and time.  If two or more schools wish to work together to block-book on consecutive days, a discounted rate per school may apply.  PSSH can also be presented as a longer family show.
